Libraries, Ltd. supports many literacy programs across the State of Arizona through financial support, book distributions and magazine subscriptions.

The Southern Arizona branch of Libraries, Ltd. continues to serve 33 organizations involved with children, teens, literacy and parenting in Tucson, Nogales, Santa Cruz and Green Valley, Arizona. We have supported some of these organizations for as long as 16 years. Examples of programs assisted in the past year with books and magazines include the following:

  • RIF Program co-supported by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, now in its 14th year, serving the Richey, Johnson and Lawrence schools. A new site has been added to this program at Hohokam Middle School, serving 660 students.
  • Manzo Elementary P.A.C.E. Home Reading Program
  • Las Familias counseling clinic for abused and molested children
  • RIF program initiated at Menlo Park Elementary, now continued through Tucson Unified School District
