Libraries, Ltd. supports many literacy programs across the State of Arizona through financial support, book distributions and magazine subscriptions.
Southern Arizona Report
The Southern Arizona branch of Libraries, Ltd. continues to serve 33 organizations involved with children, teens, literacy and parenting in Tucson, Nogales, Santa Cruz and Green Valley, Arizona. We have supported some of these organizations for as long as 16 years. Examples of programs assisted in the past year with books and magazines include the following:
Maricopa County Branch Report
New to Libraries, Ltd., through the efforts of Libraries, Ltd., Monica Goddard, is the Motheread program at Encanto School in the Osborn Elementary School District.
The RIF Club at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona, continues to serve as a model for RIF clubs across the United States. Faculty sponsor for the club, Pat Heck, reports that it is the largest club on campus with 1800 members and 75 officers. Their highly successful buddy system pairs high school and elementary students to share the joy of reading.
